ADT watches the house while you sit at Neyland or Covenant Health Park
When a sensor trips, ADT can call you and request help. That is the reason to order professional monitoring instead of a camera you check yourself.
What ADT monitoring does on a Knoxville night
ADT watches the system 24 hours a day from U.S. monitoring centers. If a door opens while you are armed, or a smoke detector goes off, a person can call you and, when it is appropriate, request police or fire.
A camera you watch on your phone is useful for a Bearden porch package. It is not the same thing. You cannot always pick up. ADT can — at 2 a.m., during a Vols kickoff, or while you are at a Smokies game downtown.
The system can still reach ADT if Knoxville Utilities Board power or the Wi-Fi is out. KUB is the local utility; TVA is wholesale. That matters on an ice night, not after the lights go out.
Coverage is local. Same-day or next-day install is typical in the TN – Knoxville territory. Alarm paperwork changes with the ZIP: Knox 911 registration inside the city ($0 annual with zero false alarms), a different desk in Farragut, Oak Ridge, Maryville, or Alcoa. We name the office on the quote.
